Truth be told, we hardly hang out in Shah Alam area, but today we make our way to Seksyen 7 for this interview. The moment we turn into Jalan Plumbum, it is like a whole new world to us, colourful signage, billboards, huge advertisement posters, showcasing many big Muslimah fashion players in Malaysia.
Besides, walls on alleys are filled with artsy graffiti without any dull moment in sight. Among all the shops, there is one standing out the most to us, the exterior of the second and third floor is an exposed brick wall, with concrete window moulding designs, faux grill balcony outside each window, we can definitely pretend we are now in Soho London.
On the ground floor, the storefront has 2 wall-mounted lanterns next to the tall glass door entrance, not to forget the black awning that works best with anything from the cafe, small retail to high fashion, we are in awe. And this retail shop, warehouse and office that dresses up in a tailored European suit belong to none other than Bella Ammara.
Introducing Muhammad Khalif Samsudin (a.k.a. Carl), the backbone of the company, and his wife, Sharifah Nabilla Al-Yahya (a.k.a. Belle), the face of the company. Guess what? Belle was working as an architect before. We are made to believe she could be the mastermind behind the interior and exterior design of their shop appearance.
