Like online dating, we try to cyberstalk our dates before meeting up for the first time, so you know what to expect and who are you up against. We did the same for Tradeworks International Sdn Bhd but Google is not doing much help this time around. Besides some generic business information and job vacancy listings, we could not get anything below the surface, not even an official website.
We couldn’t help but wonder, what kind of e-commerce business it is without a professional online presence? On the contrary, we were quietly confident that we will be proved wrong.
Now that we have arrived at the office location, we tried looking for the office or warehouse’s signage, little did we know, none. There is only one Chinese Kopitiam (traditional coffee shop) at the corner, and adjacent shops with none of them resembles the word “Tradeworks” on their signage. Are we being punk’d? Are we being gotcha? Where are Arnold, Ean and RD?
To our relief, someone was walking out from a shop handling some parcels. Our limited detective instinct told us to approach the guy and investigate. Despite all the drama we had in our heads, we have finally found the place to start the interview session. This company is real, phew.
